Greg knew the cost of following Christ.

His favorite quote was from an old hymn:

 

“Oh the old rugged cross,

so despised by the world,

has a wondrous attraction for me.

For the dear Lamb of God

left His Glory above;

to bear it to dark Calvary.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,

til my trophies at last I lay down.

I will cling to the old rugged cross

and exchange it someday for a crown.”

 

Greg died while serving as a BSU Summer Missionary to Peru. He will long be remembered for his passion to serve Christ! The Ole Miss BSU is embarking on a new mission partnership with IMB REAP North Peru beginning in May 2009.
